About Us:

Brown Transport is a three-generation company that began in 1929.  Russell Brown converted his first truck, a Model-T into a flatbed and hauled tobacco trash from area farms.  In 1932 Russell traded four cows and some cash for a used Model A 1 Ĺ ton truck and started hauling grain and livestock to Cincinnati.  The P.U.C.O. authority he was granted in 1935 is believed to be one of the oldest in Preble County.

By the late 1960ís and early 1970ís, Russellís attention turned to hauling aggregate using dump trailers, with the help of his son Jack, and later on his two grandsons, Mickey and Terry.  In 1997 Terry sold his portion of the business and today Russellís grandson Mickey runs Brown Transport.  Russell retired in 1973 but stayed actively involved with the company until his death in 2000 at 99 years old.

In June 2000, Brown Transport purchased Overpeck Trucking Company.  Overpeck originated in Butler County in the 1950ís and provided bulk dump truck service to Southwest Ohio.

Currently Brown Transport operates 26 company tractors and over 40 dump trailers.  We also have tank trailers for hauling liquid fertilizer and utilize more than 60 owner-operators.   We provide shipping services mainly in the Great Lakes region of the United States (Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, West Virginia and Pennsylvania) and have 48-state operating authority.

Roy Hageman and Son Trucking, a sister company to Brown Transport Inc., has been providing dump truck service to contractors and aggregate producers in the Greater Dayton and Miami Valley area since 1919.  For all of your aggregate needs, please call Bob Renner at 937-236-6080 or log onto their web page:
